Forex News The rand is gaining on the dollar, moving below the 7.60 level in early trade as other emerging market currencies strengthen. USD/ZAR is at 7.5620 from a close of 7.6002. A trader sees the cross moving to 7.50-7.54 for the day, but says he would be surprised if it goes lower. "A lot of the other emerging market currencies are strong this morning, so it's more of the same for the rand," he says. EUR/ZAR at 12.0081 from 12.0232.
