Fed's Lockhart said in comments Thu that the dollar will remain the world's reserve currency. "My view of the dollar's status is that it will perhaps decline on a relative basis as the world continues to grow and develop," he said, Reuters reported. "But I think it will be a very gradual change. I don't expect any really serious, near-term challenge to the dollar's role as a reserve currency at this point."
