USD/IDR Lower Tad; 9,130-9,155 Range Tipped

"Falling oil prices are expected to reduce the pressures on the inflation here," dealer says. USD/THB Steady; BOT Intervention Eyed

Forex News USD/THB opens little changed at 33.34 vs 33.33 at Friday's close, with some buying by interbank players. China Shares May Open Up On Oil But Gains Capped

Forex News China shares may open higher on continued decline in crude oil prices. Shanghai Composite Index tipped to test psychological resistance of 2850 after ending +3.5% at 2778.37, helped by gains in oil refiners, airlines. "But a rebound helped by only these sectors is not sustainable, as investors will still avoid financial firms and property developers because of concerns about the slowing economy," says Wu Feng at TX Investment. Shenzhen index +3.0% to 824.68 Friday.

USD/CNY May Fall But Unlikely To Reach Record Low

Forex News USD/CNY may drop after USD proved fairly stable in international markets Friday night, but to keep above historical low of 6.8103, says Shenzhen-based dealer with local bank; tips central parity rate to be set around 6.8150, roughly in line with spot close of 6.8169 Friday, but adds, "when the dollar doesn't offer any lead (in U.S. trade) that usually creates some scope for the pair to fall a little." Adds, given market's recent momentum, doesn't see much scope for adjustment before spot hits 6.8000.
